Joel Madden led guests in a rousing rendition of "Happy Birthday" while celebrating Nicole Richie's 30th birthday at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills along with celeb pals such as Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and Samantha Ronson. The birthday gal got a Samsung Galaxy S II, which she used to snap pictures all night. After enjoying some cake, the bash turned into an all-out dance party, during which Ronson took the mic and challenged people to a dance-off.
After dating privately for just over a year, actor Liam Neeson brought girlfriend Freya St. Johnston to Paris for the opening of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which included flamenco dancing, gourmet food, Chinese acrobats and an encounter with French film star Alain Delon. The pair stuck together in the hotel's garden, sharing laughter and whispered conversation as they watched the entertainment. "She's been very good for him," an eyewitness says. "They're very comfortable, very natural now in each other's company."
Mick Jagger and L'Wren Scott celebrated his new band SuperHeavy's album with a champagne toast at the Double Seven in N.Y.C. "Mick was working the room like a champ taking photos with lots of fans," a source inside the Belvedere-sponsored bash says. When the rocker returned, he kissed Scott on the cheek and pulled her up to dance. Says the source: "That's when the impromptu booth dance party started."
