Maria Shriver Returning to Journalism | Maria Shriver

Art Streiber

After serving as California's First Lady for more than seven years, Maria Shriver is getting back to her career roots.

Shriver, 55, who filed for divorce over the summer from husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, is focusing on journalism again.

The mother of four interviewed philanthropist Wallis Annenberg for the October issue of Los Angeles magazine that is devoted to the "LA Woman."

Featured on the monthly's cover, a regal-looking Shriver does not discuss her own hardships, but has a frank chat with Annenberg about being a powerful L.A. woman, how men and women approach philanthropy differently and when your A-list name can work against you.

This is one of a series of interviews Shriver has done this year, including poet Mary Oliver and Ms. Magazine founder Gloria Steinem.
