David Faustino Coming to an Internet Browser Near You

Friday April 09, 2010 08:00 PM EDT

David Faustino grew up on television as Bud Bundy in Married with Children, but lately the actor has been spending a lot of time on the Internet – as the star of a Web series.

"They were great times in my life," Faustino tells PEOPLE of his Married heyday. "I was in my 20s and my teens and that's just a whole 'nother part of life."

Now, Faustino is focusing on Star-ving, his online comedy which has been dubbed the anti-Entourage because of its portrayal of a broke actor who's past his prime.

"Whereas Entourage is more played for the reality of life, we're going way over the top," Faustino, 36, says. "We know the ups and downs of this business as good as anybody so we decided to lampoon that and make fun of our experience in this town and make fun of the down times."

The show has also been nominated in the audience choice category at the Streamy Awards, which honors original web television programming. Winners will be announced on April 11.

"It's the biggest award," Faustino says. "I feel most honored to [be nominated for] the Audience Choice Award because that's who we make the show for, and if they're the ones choosing this award that says they like it and that makes me feel really good."

Faustino attended last year's ceremony – but says this year is different – in a good way.

"Last year we had just finished Season One but we were not eligible to be nominated, so it feels completely different," he says.

While Faustino does occasionally joke about Married with Children on his Web series, he's looking to the future. "It's fun to look back on but I enjoy life now," he says. "For me, 30s have been the greatest decade of my life yet."
